    Andrey Riabushenko is Chief executive officer and Managing Partner of Quant Geeks. He has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its founding and has been using all his talent and energy for recruiting the best professionals to the team.

    He began his career as programmer of distributed and parallel network applications. After two years Andrey continued his work as IT security and reliable real-time systems auditor. Soon after Andrey Riabushenko has become team leader and software architect at Digsee mobile solutions. While been employed in private sector Mr. Riabushenko was also envolved in several large fundamental research projects in National Academy of Science in numerical methods and artificial intelligence.

    After reaching top positions in software development Andriy desided to switch his carrier to financial sector and try himselft as analyst at KINTO assets management company, where he was responsible for the energy sector equities portfolio management. Later on he was one senior analyst and worked on the foundation of he research department at the new investment bank Phoenix Capital.

    At Quant Geeks Mr. Riabushenko uses his strong mathematical and analytical skills, experience in professional programming and knowledge in Financial Economics for delivering the products of the highest quality to Quant Geeks clients. Quality is the highest responsibility and resources of the company.

    Mr. Riabushenko holds an MA in Financial Economics with honors from Economic education and research consortium (EERC) and an MA in Computer Sciences with honors from National technical university of Ukraine "KPI". Quantitative research for financial markets is the best sphere where he can apply all his diverse knowledge.

  • Roman Semko
    Managing Partner and Co-Founder

    Roman Semko is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of the company focusing on its strategy development and expansion. Clear vision in the research helps company to develop its competitive advantages and deliver the products required by the clients.

    Prior to founding Quant Geeks in 2008, Mr. Semko was a business analyst in the global leading strategy consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. In 2006, he was a financial analyst at Castle Finance directing the activities related with the equity research of the parent financial group. During his career, Mr. Semko has advised large corporations on strategy development and financial problems in a broad range of industries including Financial Services, Mining, Energy, Utilities and Retail.

    Currently he is involved in the integration of new concepts and techniques into the products of the company. In his research Mr. Semko heavily relies on the modern econometric and mathematical tools.

    Mr. Semko received an MA in Economics from Kyiv School of Economics and National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” and was ranked as №1 student at the course having GPA 4.13 out of 4.33 maximum.

  • Sergey Sidorenko
    Head of innovation department

    Sergey Sidorenko is Head of Innovation Department, the person who considers innovation as a major driver of the progress.

    Since joining Quant Geeks in 2008, Mr. Sidorenko has been working on the variety of problems concerning the application of latest achievements in financial economics into the practical quantitative models. He is responsible for increasing the efficiency of existing operating modes through innovation of processes and adapting technology from other industries that are new to the quantitative research in finance. Moreover Sergey is constantly involed in developing and designing new operating modes with the objective of out-performing competition in creating new products and improving existing ones, as well as increasing the degree of automation in existing and new services.

    Before joining Quant Geeks, Mr. Sidorenko has provided market and accounting analysis for UniCredit Bank. He also was involved into the development of new scoring banking system which was based on fuzzy logic principles.

    Mr. Sidorenko received an MA in Financial Economics from Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC) and an MA in Mathematical Economics from Odessa National University named after I. I. Mechnikov.

  • Alexander Maystrenko
    Head of development department

    Alexander Maystrenko is Head of development department responsible for integration of new techniques into the developing products. He transforms theory into practice and always goes apace with the progress.

    Since joining Quant Geeks in 2008, Mr. Maystrenko has been involved in the transformation of the firm’s Research Center into a global leader in the development and enhancement of quantitative investment models and management applications for institutional investors.

    Before joining Quant Geeks, Mr. Maystrenko worked on the complex systems development at National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for 2 years and for 4 years at Applied Mathematics Laboratory at KPI. In 2008 Mr. Maystrenko worked for the Zürich Research Laboratory, IBM on the “Great Minds” Project: Business process transformations: BPMN, IBM WebSphere Business Modeler.

    Mr. Maystrenko received an MA in Applied mathematics from National technical university of Ukraine "KPI" and graduated from the university with honors (average score 4.97 out of 5 maximum). Mr. Maystrenko currently has 17 scientific publications and 1 inventor’s certificate.
